Psymbolic presents: Onomatopoeia Wednesdays

: Dominic Johnson [live] – New Millennium Orchestra – [Chicago] :
Violist Dominic Johnson has performed both classical and popular music in Europe and the U.S. After studying with Csaba Erdeyi at Rice University, he toured domestically and overseas playing rhythm viola for an indie rock band, Rachel's. He also has been active as a conductor, displaying his talent on the podium for the Turtle Bluff Chamber Orchestra. Dominic is currently Artistic Director and co-founder of the New Millennium Orchestra, and performs as principal violist for Concertante di Chicago, L'Opera Piccola, Opera North. Dominic will be performing a special effect processed live set.

: Asmadeus – Asmatronica / Shift Records / Native State / Chilluminati :
A classically trained pianist from a prestigious music school in Ukraine, Michael Lazarev has been producing since the age of 12. He founded the 1st non-profit organization of electronic musicians on the internet, United Trackers. In 1997, Mike established Tranceplant Records. With tracks climbing the London radio charts, Mike created a unique electonica sound, blending elements of classical music with glitch and trip hop. In 2000, Mike began working on a solo IDM project, Asmadeus, spawning Shift Records. In 2005, Mike joined the Chicago music scene as a founding member of The Chilluminati and a Native State label DJ.

Onomatopoeia Wednesday weekly @ Dulcenea showcases musicians who create and experiment with genres of electronica such as: Ambient / Downtempo / IDM / Breaks / Goa / Psytrance

The music and environment caters to a loungy, laid back and conversational atmosphere leaving you free to delve into the soundscapes, the intricate conversations, or geek-out via Wi-Fi.

*Expect the music and environment to transition and evolve throughout the night.
