Debbie and I would love to hear what Serena, Allen, Alison, and Alberto are bringing in deco materials.

We will start to post some maps of the venue, and think of where deco efforts should be focussed.

Also what materials and volunteer support will you need once you arrive in Black River Falls?

I don't live that far away from the campground, so I would be down with helpin set up and all that.Β  just let me know what you need.Β  Little itty bitty 800 watt sound system (no sub) also available (my studio setup).Β

Just wanted to throw it out there, though I think some of you may have already assumed this. We (Kirk and I) are willing to help with deco, do bodypaint at the event, bring a massage chair and/or table, and do any other volunteering as needed. Just let me know what you would like me to do, where and when. I can pretty much work my schedule Thu-Sun any which way I please, but I do need a bit of advance notice.

        Hello,

Igor asked me to bring some of our banners, which are currently in Philadelphia.

They are approx. 8' x 8', UV reactive batiks – mandala, diety, alien, cosmic, and mushroom designs.

I'll bring at least 10 of them – if you want them early, I can have them sent via UPS, or I can have Dean ONNOMON bring them.

They are grommeted, but they aren't very strong (if it's windy) – zip ties, wire, or staple gun are the most secure method, and if you plan to use tape, please use gaffer's tape.

Also, I'd prefer if they were placed somewhere contained/secure (i.e. on stage) – I've had them stolen in the past, when they were within the reach of the public.

I hope this helps – I really haven't been involved with deco at our events in years, and I'd rather not have to climb any ladders. πŸ˜›

The flyer is beautiful, the line-up is great, the visual talent is incredible (and unprecedented), and the location looks awesome – break a leg Chilluminati.

        Peace,
        Allen

πŸ™‚ arriving thursday night and bringing…

70-100 yards solid white material, endless strings of multi coloured lights, giant dream catchers, ribbons, strobes, fog machines, tapestries, “i am going to make two to match the theme” day glow string, and if i can find someone to lend me space in a van/truck i will be bringing the “fun box” it's a giant cube with a hole in it… painted and nifty.. full of pillows and stuffed animals, lighted by blacklight. the wall of trees is also going to be one of those if i can get a truck van type of thing. sofa sized black light paintings.. there is more but you get the gist.

Alison, Deb and I need to drive through Rockford on our way to Black River Falls, and we will be renting a U-Haul trailer for our deco. We should probably coordinate and pick up your gear, all I need to know is cubic meters you need so I can plan the trailer size. I am PM'ing you my phone number, we can talk in more detail later.

          we cant wait!
real quick on serena;s behalf… shes having trouble in not getting the confirmation email from teh forum

we are bringing a few sets of Zome tool, customized to glow in uv light
for reference: some pics in the abstract art gallery on http://www.doodlbug.com
some images can be found on atlanta party gallery, we deco'd the chillroom.
          http://www.touchsamadhi.com/gallery/2006Events/tetragrammatrance-atlanta-march4/
so, in summary: bringing from NC: several highly impressive flourescent geometric structures + some disco ball rotators to spin them slowly all weekend πŸ˜‰

we will need proper blacklight placement to illuminate them and also something above to hang them from… is the stage tall enough?
how big is the stage so we can plan how big to make the structures,,, any pics of the stage?
anywhere from 1-3 feet in diameter is the range, bigger is more impressive…
we will probably be constructing them in the car on the way up since theyre too large to travel with in an assembled state.
arriving thursday evening with igor afaik… so we will have time to build them and hang them b4 partytime

          ok hope that helps….

just talked it over with my crew, we agree the wall of trees is a bit much to bring and put together again, esp seeing we will be in the midst of trees. the box is coming with though, hands on stuff is so much fun.. think i will be putting a sign on the inside that says “keep your clothes on” …. i mean if it happened in the bouncy castle at blue shift i am pretty sure a giant cube full of pillows is just asking for it. oh well, i guess thats what bleach is for.Β  πŸ˜› as for space it would take up, it's about 5' x 5' x 5' and i can just put everything else i have inside it. let me know if that is do able.
