I don't care if there are ghosts, they'll just be transparently bouncing about. It's impossible to commit a tragedy with such a vibe and sound blasting through your veins.

Emily, worries are scarce. If you get scared, just keep walking. You'll go from the main stage, to the chill stage, over the hills to the main stage again. Just be careful for the lake unless you plan on swimming, which some people do.

We drive 14 hours to do this. Rain, wind, snow, heat, ghosts, bring it. As long as the music is loud and the bathrooms with flushing toilets and lights are open I'm fantastic.

Everyone should experience this at least once in their life time.

I didn't see any ghosts but I might have seen an extraterrestrial or two.  The dark expanse between stages was much like the frigid reaches of interstellar space.  As long as you had a warm beverage in your space suit and treated any encountered alien lifeforms with respect there was nothing whatsoever to worry about.

This was real…As I said I am a very logical intelligent person who quickly dismisses stuff like this…Mainly because I have never had an experience, now I have, without a doubt.  It was awesome…Next year lets get a bunch of us in there for a saiance(sp?).

all I can say: amazing times. I loved the element of cold and was hoping it will bring everyone together a little bit more, trigger people to hang out on the dancefloor and stomp harder. Kick ass music all weekend long!
Thank you Chilluminati crew once again for bringing us together. Felix, awesome job with the system, it sounded so much better than at ED as like you said you learn more and more about it every time. Also visuals you and Chris were shooting were mind blowing….so was Paka Paka stuff.

Helllooooooos everyone! I just wanted to express how great of a weekend this was! Truely amazing vibes… as usual… but there was just something extra special about us all trudging around in the woods in 20-40 degree weather hah.

First off.. I heard wonderful wonderful music at the chillstage all weekend. I wasn't down there too much so I'm not really sure who was playing, but my campsite was right up the hill so I got to hear a large portion of it. Spycht's chill set friday night/sat morning was surprisingly awesome to fall asleep to, very funky, it put me in a good vibe and i felt sooo refreshed when I awoke 4 hours later to the brisk bitterness of the cold morning, which was key because without that cold I would have missed my chill set. I hope everyone enjoyed the sloa (slow goa) I played 🙂 . Also Saturday night, I stuck around the chill stage for like 20-30 minutes of the first portion of Leo and Kevin's live collaboration and I have to say I was indeed very impressed. Trippy stuff you guys haha. Sometimes the melodies clashed a little bit with eachother, but other times (most of the time) they seemed to fit together sooooo perfectly and trigger this sort of psychedelic harmony that gave me really good feelings like i was listening to eat static or something. Lots of potential here you guys, I think if you have more time to bounce your ideas back and forth you will be able to create something truely epic. Keep up the awesome innovative work :). Gatto Matto played an awesome psytrance set and really helped set the vibe for the night, honestly the whole time I never heard the song change haha (but i know it did). Phasefour was reaaaaaaaally energetic and I loved the small details throughout the set. I thought the vibes they sent could've used a little bit more dynamic as I felt myself getting drivin to that crazy place and wanting to leave the stage and get some fresh air. So I went outside and noticed that the clouds had all cleared up and there was an AMAZINGLY crisp/crystal sky awaiting my eyes. The Stars were beautiful and I got to see some constellations i haven't seen in a while. As I walked away from the mainstage I noticed how loud and clear the music was… I wondered how far the sound was carrying and I pictured the shelter as some sort of green and purple glowing vibrating beacon of cosmic awareness, I could feel its impact on the earth around us. Even with the cold, I was a bit sad the stage was not outside… reasons for the indoor stage were obvious and probably necessary, but I just couldn't help noticing how much better I felt taking the cold fresh outdoor air into my lungs and staring up at the sky. As I walked down the path to the chill stage, the bass frequencies of the main slowly faded away, and i was suddenly revived as I stepped across the point where the chill stage now became the dominant vibration. As I stepped out of the forest the mainstage low frequencies disappeared instantly in a kind of star trek WOOSHING feeling as a break in the chillstage just ended and the melodies began building into a woobly sort of blue and green energy. I felt as if i had just stepped into a bubble filled with magical cartoons and gnomes were scattering this way and that; I vibrated with the music. That was one of the coolest feelings I've ever had in my life. 😀 (I don't remember who was playing at the chill stage at the time)

Primordial Ooze was stellar as always, but I noticed an improvement in progression throughout their set. I remember nick saying this and I'm going to capitalize on his thought, but I love the essence of theme throughout the Ooze's songs. I heard some really awesome unfamiliar stuff, and then all of a sudden I was listening to Pied Piper out of no where and I was like wwhhhhhhhhere did that come from!? hah. I also remember a breakdown they did at one point… all melodies cut out and left with a reverb, then they started throwing in bass frequencies and higher frequencies that started coming at you from the right left, right-left up, down, in and out. Almost like they were cutting out different frequencies for short periods and then throwing them all back at you one at a time in stereo. I want to know what the fuck you guys did lol telllllllllllllllllll me! 😀 one of the most psychedelic phrases I've ever heard.

I really really really wanted to hear ocelot, and I was hangin out at the main waiting for him to come on, then I got this strange urge to go to my tent and lay down for a bit. So I did, and i ended up drifting away for about 2 hours, completely bypassing ocelot's set. I heard it was good tho.

I wish I could have been dancing more at the mainstage, but the way I was bundled up for the cold was restricting my movements and making me feel kind of uncomfortable, so i mostly bobbed and weaved, and sat. Also I had a respiratory infection… or common cold hah and the cold weather sort of didn't help that situation too much… And the wind changed on saturday blowing the smoke from my fire constantly into my tent, so I awoke after my sleep with difficulty breathing 🙁

Afterwards I was greeted with Jirah, and the music was very special. Some very inspiring melodies. At times the sound seemed a bit unclear and I couldn't figure out what the reasoning for this was. But none the less and awesome set :). Afterwards I had my live. At this point seemed like quite a few people had already left or had returned to their campsites to begin packing up. Thanks to all of you who stuck around and listened to or danced to my set. It was very experimental for me. More than half the songs I played I have never played live (my set consisted of music from Tempestuous G in 2005 all the way through Aerosis, to Jagno Gaia tracks from 2009). Also pretty much none of them were mastered (so sorry about the sound quality 🙁 ) but it did give me a really good Idea of what I need to do to improve my sound. I made what EQ adjustments I could on the fly so as to spare your ears from the doubling bass frequencies hah. I was also really surprised to see that my oldest music got the best reaction on the dancefloor… for this, I shall pay tribute and relook some of those old songs to give them some new Aerosis spice.

I then retired to my campsite to pack up my things because I needed to get home ASAP and get some things done before I started school the next day. As I was packing I could faintly hear the music Machi was playing and kept finding myself really wanting to go check it out because it sounded epic, but i never got a chance. It was nice chillin with my camping neighbors Nick and Brent, thanks for lettin me use your flame to cook.

I also had some really good convorsations with Kevin, Leo, Derek, Chris… and a couple other people who I forgot their names… I appologize, it usually takes me about 3 times to remember… so, until next time 😉

To everyone else I didn't talk to: I pretty much kept to myself this weekend… it was a very introverted one for me, I look forward to meeting/talking with you next time. I was very sick and didn't have much energy to mingle… that was pretty much the downfall of my weekend.

PS. I was in AWE of the visuals at both stages all weekend…. oooOOOOOooo, aaaaAAAAWWwweee

All in all.. AWESOME weekend with the psychedelic family, 4 stars out of 5 😀
