It was great to see all you hardy souls who braved the cold.  NCN and it's fall colors provided an amazing backdrop for a weekend of quality music and people.  Thanks to everyone who made Crystal Sky happen!

I had tons of fun this weekend. Everyone who made it out, rocked it out! Spent most of the weekend hanging out and having hilarious conversations with people. Friday night was great, everyone played really good sets on the main stage and Toki played a marathon 6 hour chill set that freakin rocked :). Ocelot and Jirah's downtempo sets were really good and unique. Gatto Matto played an excellent set saturday night. I didn't catch all of PhaseFour, but what I did was really good. Leo and I had a ton of fun playing our live set and it was great to see Reuben getting into it as well- there were some awesome visuals going on and it was cool to be able to see them while playing. Liz and I had a hilarious time hanging out at the chill stage on saturday night too :).

Anyone who missed Jirah REALLLLLLY missed an amazing set. His new material is phenomenal and he gained huge respect from me for playing such an amazing set for so few people. Those who were there were very appreciative of his work. I plan on having him out to the midwest again so more people can hear how good he is.

Thank you to all who came out and braved the cold. Thank you to my wonderful Chilluminati family for being such awesome people to work with! I gained all sorts of inspiration to continue working on music and making some new things (already in progress). I also really look forward to continue throwing parties for everyone- you are all a great inspiration to keep things going!

The cold always seems to bring people together in a unique way. I had a fantastic time 'chillin' with everyone at Crystal Sky. Lots of quality time goofing out and acting silly.

The tree's were gorgeous, the sky was clear and there were beautiful people to enjoy a fire with or stomp it out on the dance floor. Everyone looked so cute in their winter bundles.

Very low key event with minimal stress . . . felt relaxed the entire time. All sets I was able to catch sounded well-planned and stomp-a-licious. Climax and Dark Jesus were lots of fun to listen to. Energon rocked it pretty hard. Gatto Matto was fantabulous, even better than I remembered from Gemini. Broke down the tent listening to Jirah and Jagno Gaia, both fabulous morning goodness. Was able to catch the tail end of Machi's set . . . and it was very hard not to just stop what I was doing and plant myself on the dance floor.

Had a great time playing my set with Energon. I still get nervous playing in front of people so it was nice to have the ebb and flow of spectators wandering during out set. Thanks to everyone who listened  🙂

Next time you see Jessie give her a huge hug for bringing all the supplies for making the delicious chai tea . . . together we drank over 20 gallons!

I have to say I really appreciate the DJs. Me and my group felt a little bad we missed a lot of sets because we couldn't bare to move from our fire. Cold has never affected me in such a paralyzing way, by 4am Sunday morning I was begging to pack up and leave. I was super disappointed.

I spent months preparing, and I didn't wear my outfit or anything but walking around the chill stage freezing my ass off I was reminded why I do this in the first place. The music and the beautiful scenery made me fall in love all over again. Not to mention the amazing people. Even when I went to get my blanket for warmth and had to shake off snow.

I did make french toast over the fire and my friend cooked an egg on a skewer. It was pretty awesome.

Hey Aktif I really want to hear more about the ghost. You know there are other NCN supernatural stories, Pamm who used to live there was sure there was some kind of malevolent spirit that needed to be exorcised. I don't remember the details, I will ask her.

I definitely think that there's something more to the grounds there, but I don't think it's bad. My boyfriend has a disease, long story short, he's intolerant to temperature changes. He has extreme pain in his hands and feet whenever the weather is too hot, too cold, or slightly wet. He describes it as someone lighting his hands and feet on fire and trying to put it out with a hammer. Sometimes, just going from the living room to the kitchen while I'm cooking will have him on the floor crying. Just because the kitchen is hotter than the living room.

We hadn't even checked the forecast when we went to Earthdance 08 so when it started raining we were like “Fuck we're going to have to go home.” And for some odd reason, he never started to feel pain or even weakness. We were soaked head to toe the entire weekend and he was fine. We also weren't even slightly sick afterwards, and I'm convinced I have 0 immunities. It's like we fall off the map when we're at the NCN, nothing affects us. We get back home and it's as if we'd never left, time just resumes to when we left.

At crystal sky he didn't feel well enough to walk around much but he never had an attack. Which is incredibly weird considering how little things trigger it all the time, but sitting in the snow and 20-40 degree weather just didn't affect him.

It probably sounds really weird, but it amazes me because this is something that happens to him every day.

Yes, I've researched that before, and again right before Crystal Sky. It's super interesting… I'm a big documentary fan, and know a lot about serial killers. I've never seen the particular doc, but read about it.

I never connected that with the supposed anomalies, though I guess it makes sense too! I've had some experiences in the wooded area that would leave me unsurprised to learn that there were anomalies of some sort at play.

Writer/Director James Marsh's first feature, WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP, is an intimate, shocking and sometimes hilarious account of the disasters that befell one small town in Wisconsin during the final decade of the 19th century. The film is inspired by Michael Lesy’s book of the same name which was first published in 1973. Lesy discovered a striking archive of black and white photographs in the town of Black River Falls dating from the 1890’s and married a selection of these images to extracts from the town’s newspaper from the same decade. The effect was surprising and disturbing. The town of Black River Falls seems gripped by some peculiar malaise and the weekly news is dominated by bizarre tales of madness, eccentricity and violence amongst the local population. Suicide and murder are commonplace. People in the town are haunted by ghosts, possessed by devils and terrorized by teenage outlaws and arsonists.

That's really interesting. I just began looking it up as well.

I always wonder what types things happened where ever I go. Think of how many people have been there over the years. Who knows what kind of energy is left there.
