PS. Miles Davis in normal speed please….unless someone will spin Panthalassa ….
If I heard some dancehall, ragga, or dub I would be super duper happy. Of course along with the normal asian massive breaks, bhangra and other chill stuff.
Ok, I would be super duper happy anyways but would love to hear some jamaican influecenced electronica 😀

Electro? what characterizes “electro” as a genre?tribal as a genre?
I don't have the genre grasp the rest of you do, anything tho that would fit in a Buddha Bar compilation would work for me in the chill env.
Do you mean Tribal/Deep House?
So far Dub, Minimal Techno, Atmospheric DNB, Asian/Bhangra Breaks, maybe some acid jazz/fusion…
Any other styles not mentioned?
Do you mean Tribal/Deep House?
Def not on the housey side but more on the trancey side. I couldn't give any acts as an example but I wouldn't mind more drums/drumming/afro beats (I'm thinking more like Juno).
Tribal: A trance derivative that took classic trance and overlaid it with polyrhythmic percussive beats, ethnic samples, bongo sounds. It emphasizes the rhythmic core of trance. It shares many things with early Goa trance and Balearic House. Tribal can also be understood not so much as a style in itself, but as a component of any other trance style that has a bongo polyrhythm to it.

Underground HipHop def not
You would be amazed how good hip hop can be. Are You familiar with Prefuse 73, The Opus, Themselves, Doseone, Atmosphere, Anticon ….

Trance belongs to mainfloor.
Prefuse 73 I remember and I don't really mind hip-hop at all but I don't think it would jive as well as some of the others on Scott's list.
Ah elctro…got the definition now. Â yeah I think that would jive.
Damon…what do you think of when you think of “tribal”? Â (just wonderin', trying to define it for myself some more and would respect your opinion)
>Prefuse 73, The Opus, Themselves, Doseone, Atmosphere, Anticon
that is what I meant… i play Prefuse pretty often in my downtempo sets.. some of it can be trippy or chill. I would lump some triphop/instrumental hip hop in here..
>Tribal:
Ok so, Juno Reactor, Banco de Gaia, type stuff..

One side of tribalism is 4/4 regular danceable trance/house stuff You hear/heard in clubs. This should not be played in chillout room imho.
Other side is traditional music of tribes from Australia, Africa, South America, Syberia etc. You know .. didgeridoo, drums, vocals and shit.

Book The Opus. They fuckin' rock live. Most of their stuff is instrumental.

Juno – no.
Banco De Gaia – yes.;D
Any other styles not mentioned?

Plus more live musicians.
