HARDKORNATEMemberSo as not to totally derail the blueshift thread, post ideas for “random” stuff we can do to make outdoor campouts as surreal and crazy as possible.
Ideas currently in development…
Bag Lunches – We're making up a bunch of bag lunchs with little kids names on them(just generic names like “Billy, Bobby, Mary, Susan”) and we will announce that its lunch time and have everyone come over for their lunch. You must present ID to claim your lunch. If you cannot find your lunch, someone must have stolen it, and we have a “lost lunch form” that people can fill out. If they provide a SASE we will send them a refund(a shiny new nickel) We will also have a few special lunches targeted at certain people just to mess with them(90% will have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, for Josh DC, the guy throwing blueshift, who happens to be Jewish, we're putting a hot dog and some pork rinds in lunch marked “Joshie”.We will try to find other subtle ways to play with their minds.) Also, all bag lunches will come with an eye patch.
Megaphones – We have several megaphones and voice changers. We will be spending a good amount of time using these for ALL communication. I think this stands on its own and should be great fun right around 9 am when people are trying to sleep. I encourage everyone to get something like this. Imagine having a posse of 10-20 people roving the campground heckling the tent people and passers by. Also, we do not do this near OUR stage as the idea is to drive people towards the stages, not away from them.
Midget MC – This one is way out there… We're trying to locate a SHORT person who is insane and has a great sense of humor and huge cojones. We will dress him/her in a pirate hat, a monocole, and a cape. This person will be our MC. However, he will NOT MC at OUR stage, thus the megaphone 😀 He will rove around and heckle people as tell them to go to our stage. He will also announce the bag lunches and make sure people only take “their” lunch. If we could find someone 7″ tall to battle with them, that would be even better. Also, we want them to go to the jungle stage and do drive by MC'ing with lots of “boh's” and ridiculous gibberish whenever the jungle MC's are being annoying.
The pool – The pool will have rules. If you get in the pool normally, you must wear floaties, as we fear for your life and don't want you to drown. However, we will provide a plank that can be walked. If you walk the plank, you are already dead, so no floaties are nessesary.
Lasers – We're getting a dmx controller and will be able to stalk people with the lasers. Also, we will be able to program the animation laser now and write crazy stuff on the main tent. Many opportunities for fun here…
Coloring books – We've got a really crazy coloring book that we'll make copies of and hand out RETARDED color combinations.
Police Line/Caution tape/biohazard seals – find people who have their tents wedged in between some trees and seal them in while they are sleeping so that when they open their front door in the morning, all they see is yellow stickyness.
Blueshift 3 pirate team T-shirts – ironic, funny, and we're getting them no matter what. Speak up if you'll want one with your name on it. If more than a few want em, we'll order a bunch and sell the rest(our will be custom with a name on the back and the for sale ones will say “Swabby” or “Wench” on the back.
Thats all I can think of for now, I'm sure I forgot some and I KNOW you people can come up with other fun stuff to do.

Easter eggs would be funny. Silly string might be toxic for local wildlife? WTF is decasia? Xmas trees is kind of covered by all the string art we're going to instigate 🙂

I support this. If we run some extension cords from our stage to the nearby foliage, we could stash the tv's and have it playing from the woods for a super creepy effect…

precisely what i had in mind. id donate the tv i have and go purchase some from thrift stores and such if theres serious interest.

oh, and i have a couple/few splitters, as well as many many feet of coaxil (sp?) cable. more would help, but ive got a bunch.
PsygominMemberi had a thought just run thru my head for this event. we should have raiding parties. plant some one into some ones camp. have them make friends or something. have that person have a camera or some other high tec gear. oh and a 2 way radio as well. i have 2 of em. then have the plant signal the raiding party. the raiding party would then storm the camp from all sides and plunder the planted person…. or some thing to that effect……..

on the note of silly string and super soaker snipers – people dont like to get wet uninvited, i know from experience. silly string is easy to discard from your person and doesnt effect your person after the attack. and silly string isnt cumbersome in heat or cold, is it? you jsut get hit and peal it off.
