??? ???You need me Jeff! I haven't had a smoke since the 2nd dude. Keep it up, after 2 weeks, it's easy to walk from there. They say a week but I was still imagining a cigarette. 🙂
And on week 3, it's like…Fuck, where's the food, how come I'm losing weight, and why don't I have time to eat? Oh, I'M A PARENT! You shouldn't have that problem 😛

Didn't you know Jeff? If you don't have kids, you have all the time in the world (apparently)!
A good way to kick the habit, any habit, is to replace it with something new, preferably positive. If you have a craving for tobbacco, eat some fruit, or say a mantra…
It's true that after the first 2 or 3 weeks, the nicotine gets out of your system and it gets much easier to quit. The hardest part is being in situations where you're used to smoking: like hanging out with certain friends or drinking at the bar. Just remember, every moment is a choice!
Good luck ;D
PauldoMemberand 21 days to break a habit as well! remember the brain is just like a muscle. the more you habitually do something the stronger that neural pathway becomes built up in your brain. so you need at least 21 days to let the habitual neural pathway atrophy (by not partaking in the habit). at the same time it's best to combat the habit by building up another neural pathway everytime you feel the old habit creeping up on ya. and do replace smoking with a more positive/pleasurable activity. People usually tend to turn towards one of the basic pleasurable life functions in order to combat smoking (which is why people tend to gain weight when quitting). I would try exercise or sex. Those both have pretty strong positive chemical reactions in the brain that could combat nicotine. Now I'm not saying you should just whip it out and go to town when you are out at a bar or having dinner with friends because you feel like having a smoke. But if you are at home a night after successfully avoiding smoking then a good ol wank might be in order. ;D
Nicotene is such a strong drug with no real inherent medical use and it's so instantly addicitive too. Can't imagine why some other drugs with no addicitive physical properties to it are made illegal while this is perfectly legal. My father is dying of emphysema and it's not pretty. Been smoking for 50 some years now. Stubborn old goat doesn't plan on quitting either. If only the government would step in and arrest all of these nicotine sellers and the addicts that buy the drug…then everything would be better. Oh great government, please step in and save us from ourselves because as grown adults we are unable to make good choices for ourselves. AAAAHHHH…I don't have to do any more thinking for myself today…government has it covered for me! 🙂

Nicotine is actually good for you. It promotes bone tissue growth. It's wonderful for people with bad arthritis and joints. The addiction though is horrible.
I do think however that it is okay for a smoker to be a smoker. I drive a car and that releases every 1/2 mile about 100packs of cigarettes worth of carbon monoxide. So, the world itself is not that much less of a better place because there are smokers. Though, I do think they stink horribly now. They stand next to me and I'm like HOLY SHIT, I USED TO SMELL LIKE THAT?!?!? Sabrina would just nod and smile hahaha. It's still something I will say I enjoyed. But I've almost made it a month and I'm loving every minute of breath I have and I've almost lost the smoker rasp completely combined with that horrible sounding cough.
I was short winded for awhile. I couldn't inhale right. It's since cleared up. I was able to breath well while smoking, but around week 2 after quitting, it was like I had a limited supply of oxygen everywhere I went. I'm on day 24 and now I can take large breaths and relax and enjoy and smile. And I'm not ready to kill everyone haha.
Pauldo, my dad's 63, been smoking since his teens. He's the same way. He used to do 5 packs a day, nonstop smoker he was. It was insane. I am assuming he's cut back drastically considering he can't afford it like he used to :-D. Let's hope so.
Jeff, Pauldo's right. Eat good food. Don't begin the wanking process yet. That will disrupt your flow and encourage you to smoke; the feeling of being “spent.” Hahaha, all of us sexual deviants should know that feeling by now…I hope! 🙂
Anyways, best of luck to everyone and their new life journies (if anyone else has em besides me n jeff! :))
