It looks like a awsome party, and im planning on coming. Im actually going to go and work on Christmas, so i can have a few days off around New Years to hit this up…..
Meta is the shiznitand there is nothing wrong with cramming headliners on top of headliners on to a lineup.
Granted 1.5 hour or 2 hour sets are preferable to 1 hour ones. ( a one hour set IMO is like a 30 second blowjob, yeah its nice, whos gonna complain but its also like, well whats the point)
but even with short sets, if the orgs know what they are doing and can put together a well crafted lineup that flows, well then no ones groove should get interupted as one dj flows into the next.Take Gemini (for those that went for example) Everyone only played 1 hour sets, but the overall flow worked well.
Also the brighter side of shorter sets is that if somone sucks monkey balls, you have to only deal with them for a short while, than being subjected to that bad juju for a extended period of time.
As a dj id rather have a 2/3 hour set
As a party goer, id rather have 1.5 hour setsMystic MorningMemberI think you've got the right idea there. From my point of view in the crowd, there have been times when a set has just gotten on my nerves and I'm happy when I don't have to deal with it for 3 hours straight.
At the same time coming from a DJ stand point, having a longer set allows you to drift into different styles through a longer period of time. I like to meander through my sets with an ultimate goal of ending up with a certain vibe that correlates with the night/weekend/show. Having a couple hours makes this a lot easier than to have to try and do it in 1. Though any amount of time can be worked with from 1 hour on, but we all have our preferences.
On another note, I agree Meta is awesome! I was really blown away by his set in Minneapolis ;D Looking forward to some more 😉

Either way, this line up is off the hook. It gives enough time to experiance a slew of different Djs and styles and that's the way it should be done to kick in the new year.
Meta will be no disappointment. He has a full on melodic sound that will tickle your brain and make your feet hurt from stompin'. He threw it down in MN.
Either way, this will be a good way to kick in the year with our family and listening to some soul shaking music!
