I gotta dress accordingly, there's nothing I hate more than being cold at a party. I don't wanna show up in short sleeves and find out that it's at a drafty warehouse with an ice cold concrete floor. Weather.com is calling for a high of 13 degrees on Tuesday… and a low of 1. Brrrrrrrrr

Alright…hopefully this will answer everyone's questions.

A) Afterparty: There is no afterparty.  We would like to setup an afterparty, but we unfortunately do not have the resources to do so.  This is why the party runs so late and also why the late music (9-11) is going to be more chill oriented.  If people are resting/dancing still after that, we won't be kicking out people or anything right away, so bring blankets, pillows, sleeping bag, etc. if you think this is going to be you.  Otherwise, we are sorry that we can't accomidate for an afterparty, but please plan accordingly.

B) Smoking: This is a smoking venue.

C) Heat: The venue is heated, but as always prepare for cold anyway.  Wear layers folks, then shed till you feel comfortable.

D) Checklist:  Make sure you have the following-
-Any above said items for comfort
-$20 USD (no Euros accepted)
-Your ID
-Chill music, for those of the dj persuasion.  We're going to have a signup sheet with limited slots, and you might get one. 😉
-Extra fun stuff to make everyone's experience better–art, deco materials, cool objects, poi, beer, or even just you being yourself.  This party is for all of us, including YOU!  Let's make it memorable!

E) Music: I'm not going to give away the whole night here, but I will say that more “diverse” non-fullon styles will be happening early on, and we hope this will encourage a slightly more social environment.  Come early, get to know your fellow psy-goers a bit more (Note: this DOESN'T mean dancing won't be happening…Toki and I are going to take you all over the place).  Then after that it's balls to the wall all the way past sunrise.

F) Iowa City people:  Google maps will tell you to take I80 to 88 and 39N to Rockford.  This works, because it's interstate the whole way, but you might want to consider looking at an atlas or asking someone who knows better than I do to find a different route that's a more direct shot.  Might save you some time.  Not to mention, that stretch of 88 from the Quad Cities to 39 is horribly boring.  I just drove it yesterday.  Lamest drive ever.

For those travelling many hours out-of-state: I recommend the Best Western (Clock Tower Resort) off I-90:

Good call Rob, right off the interstate, and it's not that expensive for a room when it's split 4 ways.  I would recommend making a reservation now though, just in case…even though Rockford isn't exactly the prime happening spot for New Years, outside of our party anyway ;).
