RogueParticipantThat depends on what the definition of the word “buzzin” is.

psilopsybenParticipantI use gmail so I was forced on to buzz. I say forced as I don't really see what this will bring to me that facebook already doesn't. Shame on them tho, to just put this into peoples gmail accounts and not let us have a choice. Just another crap thing I doubt I'll ever use. Granted I said that about facebook when it first came out. I remember making giving Andy tons of shit for being on facebook, just cuz I thought the name was dumb.

just unfollow everyone and you can ignore it just like you ignore your spam label 😛
edaisGuestI think it's an attempt to get people used to google's shift towards google wave.

I watched a really long video on google wave recently. It's insane. A lot of advances in the way communication and collaboration happens. When you're using it, if you're responding to a post, the other person can see you type everything real time…including posts you make in response to an imbedded wave (like in a blog). That's just the tip of the iceburg though.
Regular email will be completely obsolete soon enough, I promise you.
edaisGuestHere's a link to the video:

It's a while before it fully would catch on, but I see a bright future for psytrance production collaboration via google wave. 😉
AscensionKeymasterTried google wave a while back, didn't like it. I said no to buzz, I've got enough social networking stuff already.

Maybe you didn't give it enough time? Plus I don't think they have a final product yet anyway. It did look like it would take some serious getting used to. The other thing is I think it's geared more towards small businesses and web developers. I have some friends who design websites and run a small online business. They already swear by it. It seems like it has much more possibilities though.
AscensionKeymasterWell like I said, I've got enough social media sites, forums and emails already, I don't need another. If I can move all my emails from gmail to the google wave thing then maybe I would use it. Any functions it has simply aren't of any use to me, plus not everyone on my gmail list that I chat to has it…
However I did have a 3 way chat and realized you can open new windows in the chat thing as you wish and totally mess it all up. That was fun :).
