Thanks, I think nick means dumbasses like wood and hutchinson. Right?

Its like two novice pilots congratulating each other on a successful flight as they plummet towards the earth.

how would you know Blake and Nick?  have you taken the time to research their work?

It's amazing how unscientific everyone claims I am, when you are the ones judging things prematurely.

I have more scientific training and background than anyone in this forum the last time I checked, so it blows my mind how quickly you guys outcast me like a looney just because of your opposing opinion, while I sit here trying to discuss this rationally and logically with you all. I don't even know why I bother sharing this stuff or discussing this stuff with you all if you are just going to hate me for posting it in the first place. I honestly thought you guys would find this interesting and fascinating, but instead, I see it is just one more excuse for everyone to express negative emotions and feelings towards me.

I have a strong hunch that very few people here have watched the 68 minute documentary in the original post of this thread, which is the whole reason I created this thread in the first place…

    …but whatever.

I share things I find cool, interesting, and credible, and I get chewed up and spit out for doing so.

amazes me how closed-minded and negative people in this forum are.

it's one thing to say “i dont think it's that credible” after viewing the documentary and any supplementary research you do, but its another thing to call people “dumbasses” and equate their research to “crashing an airplane”.

If you don't like this information then please stop posting stuff in this thread and pay more attention to the Sacred Earth thread. I was not trying to start a 10 page conversation that has more negativity in it than some of the 'Conspiracy Theory' threads I have posted in the past, even though this thread is not a Conspiracy Theory.

Please ignore this thread if you do not like it and please spend more time in the Sacred Earth section of the forum.

    Good day folks,

    -Abe

ummm, this is just an internet forum. i dont think i would not expect anybody to watch a 68 min documentary on ANYTHING that i posted. regardless of contebt.

especially in a forum that is based around music and gathering.

good point. I guess I thought most Psytrancers were more into things like electromagnetic energy, suppressed free-energy technology, Anti-Gravity, Cold Fusion, UFOs, and stuff like that. I guess I was wrong? Oh well, sue me for sharing information I found fascinating and awesome with this forum… big mistake I guess.

    Don't forget the pink bubble!!

    Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Bearden

    i posted that link above…

did you by chance watch the primary 68 minute documentary which was the center piece of this thread?

    what's a pink bubble?

The pink bubble on the flowchart: Report Results!

I began to watch the documentary, but my bullshit detectors kept going off… If I make it through the whole thing I'll give a critique.

Abe, I feel like you keep asking people to eat a shit sandwich. It smells like shit! I don't want to eat it! But you keep saying, “you gotta eat the whole thing, digest it, and see how it looks on the way out before judging it… be open-minded!”

Also, Abe, I hope you aren't taking what I post personally. For me, criticizing someone's ideas or logic is the furthest thing from a personal attack. Want to know why? It's because I care about the “truth” as far as we can come to know it. I assume you also care about the “truth” or you wouldn't be posting. If we can't assail faulty logic and specious arguments, where does that leave us? With a bunch of nonsense. I'm not attached to the truth. I try my best to accept it. I am 100% open to being convinced of anything – BUT – it must carry the weight of EVIDENCE from CREDIBLE sources, or at least be a PLAUSIBLE theory to entertain!

I'm guessing that I am probably one of the people most sympathetic to your cause among the skeptics here, but I have not seen enough compelling evidence from you. Emphasis on compelling. I'm even trying to read that e-book you sent me (out of the blue, I might add) just to see what I'm missing… I'll keep trying to be open-minded about this, but there definitely seems to be diminishing intellectual returns on the time investment.

    What am I missing?

If hearing a Senior Scientist from Lockheed Martin (Boyd Bushman) discuss the importance and reality of the Hutchison Effect is not credible evidence for you, then perhaps you should reassess what your idea of “credible sources” and “credible evidence” are.

His testimony alone is enough that you should at least CONSIDER the POSSIBILITY that the Hutchison Effect to be real. Unless you are accusing him of lying…

    the relevant part:
“Mr. Bushman demonstrated a levitation experiment on film to several interviewers. He claims that 250 turns of wire plugged into a 120V 60 Hz AC outlet causes a levitation effect that he does not fully understand. The part of this experiment that he does not explain is the material upon which the coil is placed. The surface the coil is placed upon is a 1/4 inch thick aluminum plate. This experiment is commonly used in electrical engineering and physics courses to demonstrate electromotive force.”

    Sounds either ignorant or disingenuous….

Call me a putz, but I trust wikipedia over YouTube anyday…

@Abe: Also, I'm still not convinced you're not just trolling for the lulz…

I'm perfectly willing to consider the possibility that the Hutchison effect is real, but not on the weight of testimony alone!

Replicable results would go a long way towards establishing some credibility, but those don't exist AFAIK.

I am done with this bullshit. I cannot believe I posted something here that I thought other would like, and instead, I get called unscientific, the researchers get called dumbasses, and everything else that has happened in this thread. If you don't have something nice to say, then keep your opinion to yourself, because I posted this here to bring JOY to this forum, NOT to bring hatred or insults.

    IMPORTANT:

I recently was contacted by Major Doug Rokke from the US Military regarding my internet posting and emails.

Abe, if you really are as open-minded as you claim to be and if you really consider everything as you claim to do, you should consider listening to people who have different opinions than you do sometime rather than just writing them off as naysayers. You only seem to be open-minded about things you agree with.

I consider the possibility.  However, you accuse people all the time of lying who many believe to be credible.

When people present information in a respectful and mature way, I listen to that information, and I consider it. When people come at me with hostility and disrespect, I don't take them serious, and I often ignore a majority of what they say.

not sure if you noticed, but I regularly acknowledge the good points that others make, and thank them for their opinion.

When was the last time you acknowledged some good information or points that I have made? Maybe you should work on your open-mindedness rather than tell me to work on mine.

    Thanks,

    -Abe
