Were I a musician, I'd probably reject the idea out of principle, being anti-drug. But even if I was pro-drug, I'd STILL reject the idea out of principle, because it's sooooo tacky. I mean, look at some of their other compilations. “Trip Controllers” “High-Way 420″ Get it?! Because 420 means marijuana! And you get HIGH when you smoke it! Har!” Dumb.
It's cool that Igor and Scott have an outlet for their music. That's what's important. The packaging, names and connotations are secondary. It's just unfortunate that the US's biggest psy label is so low-concept and ugly, like so many others. The stuff they distribute, thankfully, is more cerebral in its execution — Vaporvent, Mind Funk, DBR and the like.

So yeah, go Scott / Igor. Please don't take my opinions about Geomagnetic.tv as personal slights against your work. Anything I have to say on the matter is null and void anyway, as I've only been following psytrance for 12 years. Maybe when I smoke my first doobie I'll finally “get it.”

I'd have to agree with Undy.. as a general rule, drug-reference packaging is cheesy, There are exceptions..

Varun's logo was very funny but yes, we are trying to walk the thin line between not supporting the “drug war” but also not appearing to flaunt it or encourage illegal activity. Keep in mind this is a public board.
