Day-Trip is the first festival where you can not tell the difference
between foreigners and locals, because they all behave and dress
like total tourists.
There are 5 destinations with bands, dj's, interactive theatre
and surprise acts. If you are looking for a standard day out in
Amsterdam, then please look elsewhere. But if you like to go
bananas, then you may have found the perfect excuse…

Day-Trip: Amsterdam Tourist Festival – June 14, 2008

Preparations for Day-Trip, Amsterdam Tourist Festival are in full swing. We finished decorations
for the Scandinavia Stage, we are dressing our Belgian beer bar personnel up as monks & nuns
and we have some silly theatre acts in stall for you. The following cosmopolitans are blessing us
with their music on our after party: Flowjob (Iboga Records DK) and DJ Morph (Liquid Records UK).
And we have our local suspects to top it off, so pack some extra energy…

Early bird tickets for the festival have now sold out, but there's is still an opportunity to get in
for free. Like all other tourists, you probably have a huge amount of brilliant sightseeing pictures
just sitting in your personal collection. Well now is your chance to show them to the world, and
win free tickets with them as a little bonus!

Send your most touristy picture, along with a title and
a brief description to [email protected].

We'll post it on http://www.touristfestival.nl/touristaward and notify you, so you can get your friends
to vote it the Tourist Photo of the Year 2008! Prizes include free entrance to the festival,
bottles of champagne and first class transfer to the after party.
