OMFG invisibility cloaks?! that is AWESOME!  that would make for an amazing game of laser tag or hide-and-go-seek, or many other fun games we could play if we had them.

Yeah, I guess it would be fun, but for now the project is funded by the military.

The military has been working on this technology for while. They have an invisibility cloak already developed in a different way (through negative refraction as kara has studied). It's actually funny because negative refraction breaks a lot of old optical equations (they were written in a way that didn't allow this variable to be negative), so books on that subject are being completely rewritten.
