Looks like a good lineup, I'll check it out.  Elec3 is money,  I used one of their tracks in my mix 🙂

I liked this mix a lot.  This is probably only the second prog mix I've ever listened to in its entirety (the first was underfoot's he posted here recently).  My ear isn't the best (yet), esp with a type of music I've basically never listened to, but I'll tell ya what I thought.  First and most recognizable was volume between tracks.  I'm not sure it was a problem with all of em, but it was really apparent in some where the volume died down (especially the first mix).  Some of the tracks in the beginning were mixed out of pretty fast (the next track was brought in over them after like 1 phrase), but it didn't take away from the flow of the mix, some people just prefer longer mixes.  I'm guilty of mixing out too fast too a lot of the time, but it's a work in progress (haha, truly “in progress” for you).  Anyway, overall it was a good mix, the track selection and phrasing was there.  Id say the volume is the biggest thing to worry about since everyone will notice that.  Good work and I look forward to seein ya at third eye!

Thank god more people are pushing progressive in these parts now ;).

I like prog for a good warmup, or something to keep a chill room moving.  I'll always be a dark psy fanatic when major stomping is in order 🙂

well the only thing I can add is I was trying to experiment with this one a little bit more and there is no tranistion that would be shorter than 16 bars and the longest one is over 3 min long, esp those at the begining.

Woops.  Guess I'll just stick to saying good job on prog sets for a while 🙂

I burnt that out and listened in the car on the way to work today. I think I'm going to give it a second listen before I say anything.  🙂

UPDATE:
Alright, I've listened to this a couple times now. Technically speaking there weren't any issues. Track selection was solid. I think it's a great progression from the slower, more ambient progressive stuff, to the faster trancier stuff, and culminating with some slower psy. I heard a few minor volume jumps when a few transitions started or ended (as noted above), but nothing too severe. It was really obvious when you brought in the first real psy track around the 49 minute mark… transitioning between those two styles could have probably been stretched out longer (aka more transition tracks) but I'm sure that's just a matter of building your overall library.

One of the tracks somewhere in the middle really reminded me of Ode Ao Sol (Eitan Reiter rmx) which is one of my favorite progessive tracks that I own. If you haven't heard it you might wanna check it out. It's on an Iboga release – Perfect Stranger: Changed

Can't wait to hear some prog in iowa in a couple weeks  ;D
